$925 towards $500

Hi everyone, and thank you for reading my page. Many of you are aware that I love books, reading and am passionate about literacy. My love for reading was encouraged by my parents, who always supported my requests for more books! Unfortunately many children are not so lucky. That’s why we need you. Some of you may know that I serve on the Board of the Pratt Contemporaries - the young professionals board for the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, which helps to raise awareness of the library and its importance in the community.

On May 18th I am stepping out of my comfort zone and participating in a Spin for Summer Reading fundraiser, and I need your help.

Guys, I'd love to raise $500 - and any amount you can donate to my page will help me reach my goal.

By supporting our fundraiser, you can help benefit the Pratt's Summer Challenge program which keeps kids engaged in reading all summer long. For your reference, $75 covers one child and provides them with books and programming through an incentive and theme-based program that encourages children and teens to read and learn. To make it fun, children enjoy performances and presentations by musicians, artists, dancers, magicians, storytellers, museum staff and more.

Summer Challenge programs help reduce "summer slide," a loss of academic skills that students may experience in July in August. This loss is nearly impossible to make up, compounds over time, and particularly impacts children in under-served communities.

Thank you for your support in helping us reachour goal!
